Our U12 girls finished up on Saturday (3rd), with an Ulster Development Blitz in Cookstown. 18 girls in total attended and we had 2 teams entered. Some great football was played by both teams, with the girls having improved well since the start of the season. Thanks to the girls for their hard work all year and to the parents for all their help with travel arrangements and bringing the girls to training. Big thanks also too the coaching team of Aisling Doyle and Ciaran Nugent.
The U13 lads have one league match left so training continues on Wednesday evenings at 7-8pm.
Our U16 girls played Clonoe in the quarter finals of the Championship on Sunday (4th), winning by the score line of 3-15 to 2-4. All our girls played well, with our goalkeeper Sarah Traynor pulling of a few good saves and our defence on top with Sarah Nugent and Caitlin Campbell cutting out the threat of a dangerous Clonoe full-forward line. Our midfield of Niamh McCool and Shauna Stevenson worked tirelessly all day long, helping out our defence and ensuring a good supply of ball was going into our forward line. Our forwards also played their part with Bronagh mc Kenna hitting some nice scores and our half-forward line of team captain, Shannon Stevenson, Carys Gill and Alanna Donnelly worked really hard from the first whistle to the last. We play Carrickmore this Sunday (11th) at 12 in the Semi-Final of the Championship in Killeeshil. All support for our young hoops much appreciated. Training at normal times on Tuesday and Thursday.
Training for our senior men is on Wednesday at 7.30pm. We would like all players to please attend training as we have a game this Friday (9th) away to Galbally at 8pm. Please go support the Hoops in this local derby!
Gaelic training for Mothers and Others continues on Monday evenings at 7.30 > 8.30 pm. Newcomers always welcome. If you're interested please call or text 07760432620.

Anybody in our club who would like to take up the whistle and become a referee please contact 07743418905 for more info. The club would like to encourage some members to take up the whistle as all new referees will attend a course and be given mentoring and will start to referee at youth level with a progression over time to senior level.
