Sligo manager Niall Carew is adamant that they have put their Connacht SFC final nightmare behind them.

Carew admitted to the Sligo Champion that there was a 'hangover' after the heavy defeat to Mayo, but he stressed that they have regrouped ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Tyrone.

The Yeats County are huge underdogs for this game, but Carew is confident that they can produce a performance against the Ulster side.

"There was a hangover from the Mayo game but it's important that we don't dwell on it," said Carew. "We must look now to Tyrone and take it from there.

"We have to focus on Tyrone and the big thing is to make sure what happened against Mayo doesn't happen again on Saturday. This requires a huge amount on concentration and workrate from the players.

"The big thing is not to let what happened against Mayo drag us down. We can't brush it under the carpet at all either, we have to learn from it. Take a look at what mistakes we made on the day and make sure that the same mistakes aren't made against Tyrone."
