Tyrone Masters got their season off to a winning start in a repeat of last years Shield Final when they defeated Cavan at Killyclogher last Sunday evening.
Cavan led for most of the first half but a Tyrone goal sent them in at half time a point up on a score line of 1-5 to 0-7. Cavan's early domination faded though and it was all

Tyrone in the second half. They eventually ran out winners 3-10 to 0-11.
