Another set-back for Red Hands

Tyrone's PJ Lavery. INPHO

The exodus from the Tyrone senior football panel shows no sign of letting up as PJ Lavery has become the latest player to walk away.

BBC Sport Northern Ireland are reporting that the 25-year-old has followed in the footsteps of Dwayne Quinn, Paddy McNeice, Shay McGuigan and Emmet McKenna by opting out of the panel.

The quartet were, apparently, frustrated with a lack of game time but Lavery had started one league fixture and was used frequently as a substitute.

Whatever the reason, Lavery's departure is another set-back for Mickey Harte and his backroom team ahead of the Ulster SFC clash against Donegal in Ballybofey on May 17th.
