When Brian Dooher and Peter Canavan talk, the Tyrone U-21 footballers listen.

The two All-Ireland winning captains are members of the Red Hands backroom team and, speaking to The Irish Daily Star ahead of tonight's Ulster final against Donegal in Celtic Park (8pm), captain Kieran McGeary said: "They have been there and done it, worn the jerseys and won the games, and from the start of the year we have listened to every word they said.

"Whenever those men were competing, Tyrone were at a very high place. In the last while it hasn't been that great.

"That's probably why they have come in, they want to get Tyrone back up to that level. They just want the best for us boys.

"Seeing Dooher run on with water bottles gives you some lift, that he'd even want to do something like that for us.

"Canavan doesn't overload what he says but when he says is very useful."
