A section of Healy Park will be reserved exclusively for Irish speakers during Saturday's Allianz Football League game between Tyrone and Derry.

After its successful launch at the Tyrone versus Dublin game last year, the Coirnéal na Gaeilge initiative returns for this weekend's clash in an effort to promote the use of the Irish language at gaelic games.

A spokesperson for Tyrone GAA explains: "We are encouraging supporters who speak the language at any level to congregate in this area and to converse using the medium of Irish for the duration of the game.

"We hope by identifying this area that people will welcome the opportunity to converse freely and integrate their native language into their social lives."

An Coirnéal na Gaeilge area is located beside the Press Box on the Terrace.
