Joe McMahon has declared himself fit for Omagh St. Enda's Ulster club SFC final against Slaughtneil next Sunday.

There were concerns about the Tyrone star's fitness after he was forced to retire in the second half of Omagh's semi-final win over St. Eunan's, but the injury has cleared up ahead of the Athletic Grounds decider.

He told the Irish News: "I'm feeling good. I got a bit of a bang against Letterkenny, but it was just precautionary at the time that I was taken off.

"I was training last night (Friday) and everything feels good."

McMahon admitted that Omagh's late fadeout against the Donegal champions is a worry as they prepare for their first senior provincial final.

"There was a stage when we lost our way, but I don't think it was down to me going off - it was that they got the ascendancy and started to win balls around the middle.

"They were crowding the middle and we sat back and let them come onto us," he added.
