With the All-Ireland football and hurling championships done and dusted for another year, the focus will be on the club championships over the next number of weeks.
There are no fewer than eight county finals - five in hurling and three in football - taking place across the country this afternoon. In hurling, favourites Cushendall face double-seeking St. Gall's in the Antrim final at Ballycastle, while Camross will defend their Laois SHC crown against Rathdowney-Errill in O'Moore Park.
The other SHC finals taking place are in Derry, Down and Kerry.
The most high-profile of the football finals is the clash of record title holders Carrickmore and Omagh St. Enda's in the Tyrone decider at Healy Park. Dreadnots face Paddy Keenan's St. Patrick's in the Louth final, while Aughawillan are aiming to unseat St. Mary's in Leitrim.
