Tipperary SHC: Loughmore-Castleiney fire into quarter-finals

Loughmore-Castleiney moved into the quarter-finals of the Tipperary SHC with a narrow 3-12 to 1-16 victory over Killenaule last night.
Three goals from John McGrath (2) and Joseph Nyland after the break were crucial as Loughmore overturned a 0-10 to 0-6 half-time deficit at Borrisoleigh.
John 'Bubbes' O'Dwyer registered 0-7 (six frees) for Killenaule but it was Declan Laffan's men who had the greater firepower as McGrath helped himself to 2-4, while his brother Noel scored 0-5 (two frees).
Loughmore complete the line-up for this weekend's last-eight ties as they now face Nenagh Eire Og at Dolla on Sunday.
