Munster IHC: Limerick book final ticket

Limerick advanced to the Munster IHC final courtesy of a 2-11 to 0-15 penultimate stage victory over Tipperary in Thurles this afternoon.

Played as the curtain-raiser to the senior encounter, goals from David Dempsey and Pat Ryan sent Leo O'Connor's charges on the road to victory.

The winners led by 1-6 to 0-7 at the halfway stage and Patrickswell clubman Aaron Gillane finished as his side's top scorer with 0-7 (five frees) and

Limerick's reward is a provincial final date with Clare on July 6.
