Limerick manager TJ Ryan will give debuts to four of last year's All-Ireland U21 winning squad in Sunday's Munster SHC semi-final clash against Tipperary at Semple Stadium.

Left corner-back Richie English, right half-back Diarmaid Byrnes and wing-forwards Gearoid Hegarty and Barry Nash are the quartet in line to make their senior championship bows in Thurles.

There is also a first championship start for Dan Morrissey at full-back having made his debut as a substitute last season with regular number three Richie McCarthy being demoted to the bench.

Morrissey, Tom Condon, Seamus Hickey, Shane Dowling, Graeme Mulcahy and Declan Hannon are part of six changes from the league quarter-final defeat to Waterford over two months ago.

Centre-forward Dowling is the only member of the All-Ireland winning Na Piarsaigh side to be included as the Treaty County collide with the Premier County in the championship for a fifth successive year.

Limerick (SHC v Tipperary): Nickie Quaid; Tom Condon, Dan Morrissey, Richie English; Diarmaid Byrnes, Gavin O'Mahony, Seamus Hickey; James Ryan, Paul Browne; Gearoid Hegarty, Shane Dowling, Barry Nash; Graeme Mulcahy, Declan Hannon, Cian Lynch.
