Team news: Tipp hand out two debuts

Michael Ryan has named the team that will play in his first competitive game in charge of Tipperary since taking over from Eamon O'Shea.

The Premier County open their Allianz League Division 1A campaign against Dublin in Semple Stadium on Saturday evening and Ryan has handed debuts to Daire Quinn (Nenagh Eire Og) and Dan McCormack (Borris-Ileigh).

Noel McGrath is a notable inclusion at right-corner forward having missed most of last season after being diagnosed with testicular cancer.

2015 Hurler of the Year nominee Seamus Callanan is ruled out with a fractured finger, while Niall O'Meara and Sean Curran are recovering from hamstring injuries.

Tipperary (NHL v Dublin): Darren Gleeson; Cathal Barrett, Tomas Hamill, Michael Cahill; Brendan Maher, James Barry, Padraic Maher; Michael Breen, Daire Quinn; Dan McCormack, Patrick Maher, Jason Forde; Noel McGrath, Conor Kenny, John McGrath.
