Tipperary goalkeeper Darren Gleeson says he is delighted to see team mate Noel McGrath back in the panel for tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC semi-final.

McGrath, who starred at centre-forward in Tipp's Liam McCarthy triumph of 2010, is back training with the Premier men after treatment for testicular cancer and Gleeson says it's a major boost for the squad ahead of the crunch clash with Galway at Croke Park.

"Eamon (O'Shea) has had him involved all along. It was important for the group he was there the whole way through," he told the Irish Examiner.

"It was important for Noel as well because a lot of his best friends are in there as well so he had a good support network and he was always involved. It's not like he's just back in and we are seeing him for the first time, he's been through it with us and vice versa.

"It's been handled very well and we get a great boost of seeing him back on the field."
