Creedon: there's no bad blood

Tipperary manager Peter Creedon has rubbished suggestions that tomorrow's All-Ireland qualifier clash with Tyrone is a grudge match.

Creedon's Tyrone counterpart Mickey Harte has also insisted that there is no bad blood between the counties following May's controversial All-Ireland U21FC final at Parnell Park, which Tyrone won by a point.

"There wasn't much happening at that time and it was a bit of a handy one for the media," Creedon said in the Irish News.

"We were very disappointed, but we were back in training the following week, you write down a few things that you learned from it and you move on.

"It would be foolish to say (the U21FC final defeat) is not there at some point, but you won't be drawing on it because it's a different team, a different competition.

"I thought the U21 final was a great game of football played in poor conditions. It's up to us on Saturday and one thing we need to learn is to step up our physicality when we play the top teams.

"I don't mean dirt, I mean tackling harder and being more aggressive when we attack because that's the one difference between the top teams (and the rest). They work harder."
