Archbishop Kieran O'Reilly is the new patron of the GAA.

Keeping up a tradition that stems back as far as Dr Thomas Croke back in 1884, which retains the link between the Archdiocese of Cashel, Emly and the GAA.

Following the retirement of Dr Dermot Clifford, an invitation was given to Archbishop O'Reilly to take up the mantle of patron and he duly accepted.
