St Mary's, Carlow 1-14
The Abbey, Tipperary 3-3

St Mary's of Carlow were crowned All-Ireland Post Primary SF 'B' champions at Croke Park today thanks to a five point victory over The Abbey, Tipperary.

Shane Neville gave The Abbey the perfect start when finding the back of the St Mary's net in the 6th minute but that proved to be their only score of the first-half and they trailed by eight points at the break - 1-0 to 1-8.

St Mary's goal arrived courtesy of Dublin minor Colm Hulton of Ballymun Kickhams in the 15th minute and the corner-forward finished with 1-2 to his name.

The Tipperary outfit went 42 minutes without troubling the umpires but they produced a strong finish which yielded two goals in as many minutes from the impressive Josh Ryan and Daire Egan (penalty).

It proved to be too little too late, however, for Damian O'Brien's charges and St Mary's held on for a deserved win.
