Peter Creedon has been hit with a one-match sideline ban for his criticism of referee David Coldrick.

The Tipperary manager was critical of the Meath match official following his side's controversial one-point Allianz Football League Division 3 defeat to Armagh at the Athletic Grounds on February 1 and subsequently expressed the view that "there should be some avenue open for people to maybe question the referees in terms of their performance."

The West Cork native was summoned to Croke Park earlier this week to explain himself, and was charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

Creedon is unlikely to appeal the ban, meaning coach Michael McGeehan will take charge of team affairs when Tipp travel to Fermanagh in the third round of the Allianz League on Sunday week.
