Kilkenny's achievement in winning a 35th All-Ireland SHC title has been recognised with 13 All-Star nominations.
The names of Eoin Murphy, JJ Delaney, Paul Murphy, Jackie Tyrell, Cillian Buckley, Padraic Walsh, Richie Hogan, Conor Fogarty, Michael Fennelly, Eoin Larkin, TJ Reid, Colin Fennelly and Richie Power all feature on the shortlist of 45 nominations released this morning.
There is some consolation for defeated finalists Tipperary in the form of 11 nominations.
The remaining places go to Limerick (7), Cork (6) Wexford (3), Dublin (2) and one apiece for Clare, Offaly and Galway.
Kilkenny duo Richie Hogan and TJ Reid have been nominated for the Hurler of the Year accolade along with Tipperary's Seamus Callanan.
Cathal Barrett (Tipperary), Shane Dowling (Limerick) and Conor McDonald (Wexford) are in the running for Young Player of the Year.
