Twenty days had flown by and this evening Kilkenny and Tipperary renewed acquaintances at Croke Park in the replayed 2014 All-Ireland SHC final.
The epic 3-22 to 1-28 draw on Sunday, September 7th will long be remembered as one of the finest hurling matches ever played and today's rematch promised to be every bit as good.
The Cats were seeking their 35th senior All-Ireland crown, while the Premier County were bidding to bring their tally to 27. As the amazing Indian Summer continued, it was a glorious afternoon in Dublin 3 and the stage was set for another magnificent contest.
