Tipperary chairman Sean Nugent has urged the GAA to reduce its ticket prices for the All-Ireland SHC final replay on September 27.

This is the third year-in-a-row that the showpiece game has gone to a replay, with prices for stand tickets having been reduced from €80 to €50 in the past two years. Despite the reduction, the GAA still made a profit of around €1.2 million from last year's replay between Clare and Cork.

"I'd imagine that Croke Park will be reasonably lenient in terms of the charge, they were last year when they reduced it €50," Nugent is quoted in the Irish Daily Mirror.

"It's right because if you look at this weekend, there's a huge cost on people in terms of travel, accommodation, meals and tickets for the game. So the public deserve a little bit of release and I'm certain Croke Park will give it to them."
