Tipperary corner back Cathal Barrett admits that All-Ireland final opponents Kilkenny are brilliant.

The Premier County are due to lock horns with the Cats in this year's Liam MacCarthy Cup decider on Sunday, September 7th and Barrett knows it's going to be a difficult assignment:

"They are a brilliant team and their tradition speaks for itself," the Holycross-Ballycahill clubman is quoted in The Tipperary Star. "They are fantastic so it's down to work for us straight away.

"Kilkenny are a fabulous team. What they have done over the last number of years has been phenomenal. We just need to worry about ourselves now and that's it."

One of the key challenges facing Barrett and his defensive colleagues will be to restrict the Black & Amber's goal chances.

"Goals really win matches," he notes. "We feel that if we can keep out the goals at our end and if the boys can get it in the net at the other end it's a massive help."
