Tipperary hurling boss Eamon O'Shea says Seamus Callanan is well on his way to becoming one of the game's top players.

The in-form Drom & Inch clubman scored 2-10 against Offaly, a week after posting 2-11 against Galway.

"He knows what is expected of him. He is in there to do something and fair play to him, he is doing it and what's more he is bringing others into the play and trying to vary his play which is really," important O'Shea said.

"He is developing into a really good player, but he still has a bit to go."

Tipp will now face Dublin in the All-Ireland SHC quarter-final on July 27 and O'Shea insists there is scope for improvement.

"They did turn off for bits and pieces and that would be the thing if you want to look at what we need to improve on," he added.
