Tipperary's Shane McGrath is looking forward to renewing acquaintances with neighbours Clare in Sunday's league semi-final.

The Premier County enter the tie as underdogs as both teams continue to fine tune their preparations for the upcoming Munster SHC.

"We're delighted to be here on Sunday against Clare," McGrath said to gaa.ie at the Gaelic Grounds.

"They are the form team at the moment as well. There will be a great buzz, there will be a championship feel and hopefully we'll get a great crowd here in Limerick."

The Premier County are due to play champions Limerick in the Munster SHC in Thurles on June 1st and McGrath believes the provincial race is wide open this year.

"I would say in my time it is definitely one of the most open championships and it is going to be hopefully one of the best Munster Championships that you will have seen in long, long time.

"For a few years there, you're probably thinking only one or two teams might do it. But literally any team can win a Munster Championship now and there's going to be no great shock.

"They're all great teams."
