There is no inferiority complex for Tipperary's U-21 footballers when it comes to Cork says manager Declan Power.

During Power's four year term as minor football manager he guided the Premier County to three wins over the Rebel County.

The winning streak included the 2011 Munster MFC decider and he is hoping to repeat the trick in tonight's Munster U-21 showdown in Pairc Ui Rinn.

"The bottom line is that the days of concentrating on getting it into fellas' heads that they can beat Cork is gone," Power told the Examiner.

"In the past, you'd have had to do a lot of work just to get them to believe that they could beat Cork.

"Now that we have done it a few times, the players know it themselves.

"That means that as a management team we can spend more time on doing things on the training pitch, and for the management too it's great to have the experience of having beaten Cork in Cork.

"You'd never get to the stage where you have no nerves ahead of a game like this, but it (the history) definitely helps."
