Wicklow produced a comeback of Lazurus-like proportions to claim the FL4 spoils at the expense of table toppers Tipperary in Thurles - but they came up short in their bid for promotion.

Previously undefeated Tipperary held a 0-22 to 1-12 advantage entering injury-time but goals from Rory Finn, James Stafford and Seanie Furlong saw the Garden County snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

The hosts led by 0-8 to 0-7 and were looking good for a sixth win before the visitors pulled off a remarkable recovery.

The result leaves Harry Murphy's charges finish just outside of the two promotion places in Division 4.
