A sterling performance against Derry in the All-Ireland MFC quarterfinal earned Sligo's Red Og Murphy the Electric Ireland Minor Player of the Week award.

Murphy may have been on the losing side, but he is tipped for a bright future following his display against the Oakleafers at Ballybofey.

Sligo minors can be pleased with their display as they pushed the Ulster champions all the way in a game that they were massive underdogs to win.
