Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA club notes

January 23, 2017

At last weeks monthly club meeting, Denis Gormalley was elected vice chairperson for the coming year. We wish Denis well in this important role for the club.

grma (go raibh maith agat) is the new GAA Membership Card programme providing benefits and rewards to you, as a GAA member.  It is a 'thank you' or 'go raibh maith agat' for your involvement in your GAA club, engagement in GAA activities and attendance at games. Registration for the programme is now open with benefits available from January 2017. When you sign up, you will receive your Membership Card early next year enabling you to avail of partner discounts, special offers and earn points for going to games. Points can be redeemed by individual members or pooled for redemption by GAA clubs. You will need a GAA membership number to join grma and receive a Membership Card. Please request your membership number at your club when you renew your subscription for 2017. New club members will not have a GAA membership number until their club has registered them on the GAA Games Management System. The club will be able to provide a membership number once this registration step has been completed.Membership Cards will only be distributed to members who have signed up to grma online. The programme is only available to adult members (over 18's).

Lotto tickets for 2017 will be on sale in the coming week from the usual sellers. This is the Club's main fundraiser and your continued support is greatly appreciated.

The new Club Players' Association (CPA) is urging all club members, (playing & non playing) to register their details at www.gaaclubplayers.com. "Let your voice be heard"!

Good luck to Nathan Mullen and Stephen Connolly and all the Sligo U-21 team & management, who take on Mayo in the North West Cup this Saturday afternoon in Markievicz Park, throw in 2pm.
