Sligo senior footballer Darragh McConnon will captain IT Sligo for the coming season.

McConnon has been chosen to lead the side into battle as they prepare for the Sigerson Cup which begins in February.

The 23-year-old has battled back to injury and is looking forward to captaining the side this year.

Leitrim native PJ McGourty will manage the team as they look to emulate previous teams from the college that lifted the coveted title.
