The Connacht club SFC clash between the Mayo and Sligo champions has been put back to Saturday, November 5th.

Sligo champions Tourlestrane must await the winners of the Mayo championship that got back underway last weekend after a lengthy break.

There were concerns that the Mayo SFC may not be finished on time for the county to have representatives in the provincial campaign, but with the game being moved back a week, that situation should be avoided.

The sides were due to meet at Markievicz Park on October 30th but the Connacht Council's decision to defer the match gives the Mayo County Board an extra week to complete the SFC.

The winners of that clash will only have a week to prepare for the provincial semi-final with the Galway champions providing the opposition.
