Dr Hyde Park is almost certain to host the Connacht SFC semi-final clash between Roscommon and Sligo.

There were doubts over the venue after the Connacht Council raised concerns over bad weather ahead of the match on Sunday, June 12^th.

The venue has been the subject of much controversy this year as bad weather forced the Roscommon County Board to move their NFL clash against Dublin to Carrick on Shannon on the morning of the game.

It was feared that a similar situation may occur ahead of the provincial semi-final, but it now looks certain that it will host the clash.

Redevelopment work will then commence after the semi-final clash with the venue set to be ready for Roscommon's home games in the NFL next year.
