Drumcliffe Rosses Point GAA Club Notes

March 30, 2015

Our U16 boys put in an impressive performance to defeat St Johns on a scoreline of 0-15 to 2-6 in Cuilbeg last Sunday morning.  There were many fine performances throughout the team with Oisín O'Reilly and Jack Moran to the fore in midfield.  Eoghan Donoghue, Tom Armstrong, Hugh Kisby and Sean Flanagan were excellent in defence and set up a number of attacks which led to excellent score from the forwards.  Joseph Keyes, Cian Harrison, and Finnian Henry worked tirelessly in difficult conditions up front.  Sean Casey gave an excellent display in the half forward line and helped out the backs as required throughout the our.  James Creed scored a wonderful point with his left foot to draw the team level with 7 minutes remaining.  Drumcliffe/Rosses Point scored the final three points of the match to earn an important league win.  Young Josh Henry played in goal and gave a fine performance with several notable saves and clearances at vital times throughout the game. Well done to all concerned.  Our next game is against table toppers Ballymote on April 13th in Oxfield.
