Our U-16 boys team returned to action on Sunday morning when they took on Tubbercurry at Kilcoyne Park. The team play Eastern Harps on Sunday in round 2 of the league. The game is a home fixture and takes place at 11.30am.

Our Senior men also return to the field this weekend when they take on Curry in round 2 of the league. The game is fixed for a 2pm throw in, in Curry.

Best of luck to St. Attracta's CS Juvenile team who take on St. Jarleth's, Tuam in the Connacht A final on Friday at 12.30pm in the Connacht Center for Excellence. The team recorded a great win over Rice College in the semi final and are hoping to capitalize on that performance. The club is well represented on the team and we wish them and the rest of the team and management the best of luck in the upcoming tie.

Well done to Sligo Senior men who recorded a 2-10 to 1-8 victory over Wexford in round 5 of the Allianz Football League. There was a high level of talent on display during half time of the aforementioned game, when our U-10 team took on Owenmore Gaels. Thanks to all their parents who attended and to the team management and mentors for having the team so well prepared for the ocassion. The U-8 and U-10's are back training every Saturday at the pitch at 5 and new players and any parents wishing to help out are always welcome.

Sligo Ladies also returned to winning ways when they beat rival Leitrim, 1-11 to 0-7. The teams next game is on the 28th of March when they team play Tipperary in Markievicz Park at 2pm. Sligo Ladies Co Board will be offering complementary passes to U -14 players through the club. Together with Gillespie Sports Tubbercurry, the Co Board are offering 4 U-14 players a chance to win either a supporters jersey or a top for themselves and a football for their Club. To be in with a chance to win the player must be in attendance on the day, accompanied by an adult who will be admitted at a reduced rate of €5 (normal €8).

Sligo Minors also recorded a win over Leitrim, by the minimal, on Friday last. Liam Gaughan started at wing forward and contributed 3 points while Rian Kennedy scored 2 points from center forward. Darren Leonard played well in the full back line. The club was also represented by Ciaran Walsh, Darren O'Hara and Richie Lang. The team play Galway in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry at 5pm on Saturday.

Hard luck to the Sligo Senior hurlers who lost to Leitrim 2-10 to 1-15. The game took place as a curtain raiser for the Senior Men's game and saw our clubman, Aidan Walsh, net the only goal for the home-side.
