Our intermediate team secured a four point win over Easkey in round two of the Benson Cup last Saturday afternoon at Quigabar on a final score of 1-8 to 0-7. Tom Mahon's second half goal proved crucial as the lads secured a victory over our neighbours for the first time in many years. There is now a break for three weeks in competitive action until March 21st, when Ballymote are the visitors to Quigabar for round two of the league. The team from Saturday was: M O'Hara; A Hannon, B Byron, D Greer; D Mullaney, MJ Crean, M O'Dowd; M Gordon, A Morrison; C Mullaney, T Mahon, C O'Dowd; M Caffrey, B Coleman, N Hannon. Minor/U16
The minor team have resumed training on Tuesday and Friday nights in preparation for the upcoming season, all players please attend.
Meanwhile, fixtures have been released for the U16 'C' league, where our lads will begin their campaign on March 15th at home to Bunninadden. The other teams in the group are St Michael's and Geevagh. Well done to the Enniscrone/Kilglass footballers who played on the u16 West division selection that played the East division last Thursday.

Mattie Carden memorial 5k/10k
The Mattie Carden memorial 5/10k run takes place next Saturday, March 7th. This is always an enjoyable event for all runners/walkers of all abilities, with all proceeds going towards the Irish Kidney Foundation. To register, go to www.runireland.com.
