St. John's trounced by Tubbercurry

St. John's were defeated by a more slicker Tubbercurry team in the opening round of the Furey's Coaches Sponsored Division 1 league in Kilcoyne Park.  In very slippery underfoot conditions St. John's just managed 4 points for the hour while they opponents Tubbercurry racked up 4-11 for the County Champions.

St. John's  next league fixture is in 4 weeks time with a home match against Eastern Harps. Harps had a one point victory 1-8 to 1-7 over Coolaney/Mullinabreena today. Sandwiched between that is 2 Kiernan Cup matches the first of them oddly enough is against their next league opponents in Eastern Harps on Saturday in Stenson Park .

The following week St. John's have an away fixture in round 3 of the Kiernan Cup against Bunninadden .
