St Farnan's player Patrick O'Connor will attend an Aussie Rules trial this weekend.

The 16-year-old is one of 20 GAA players from around the country that will attend the trial which will be held in Dublin.

O'Connor has impressed for the Sligo under-16s this year as they won the Manning and Ted Webb Cups in 2014.

Former AFL star and Kerry All-Ireland winner Tadgh Kennelly will be at the trials and O'Connor will be eager to impress and earn a contract in the AFL.
