Carrigallen clubman Martin Allen has been named the new manager of Sligo Ladies' footballers.

Allen was with Leitrim Ladies this year and he revealed to the Sligo Champion that he would be building a squad over the coming weeks.

"Along with my backroom team, we will be busy going to the various clubs around the county and seeing how we will decide on a panel," said Dolan.

"There will be a drive to have the team in place before the end of December. We need to have the right team selected and begin planning for the first game of the league."
