Sligo GAA County Board chairman Joe Taaffe admits the annual GAA club awards are a great way of rewarding the players.

The fourth annual Sligo GAA club star Awards night will be held on November 22nd and already the intermediate team of the year has been announced.

Taaffe told the Sligo Champion that the gala banquet held in the Radisson Blu Hotel is just reward for club players in the county.

"The awards are a great way of rewarding club players in the county and we look forward as always to hearing the senior team and Players of the Year being announced on the night," said Taaffe. "I would encourage clubs to come out and support the banquet."
