The Coolaney-Mullinabreena club held a wide range of activities last weekend to celebrate their 125th anniversary.

A gala dinner was held in the Sligo Park Hotel and the whole weekend was dedicated to marking such a milestone for the club.

Gaelic football in the area goes back as far as the 19th century when there was a number of teams in the area and football has continued to be played in some form ever since.

Coolaney and Mullinabreena joined forces in the 1960s and the club has gained success at all levels down through the years.
