Breheny aims to end barren spell

September 24, 2014

St Mary's manager Tommy Breheny has stressed that they are keen to bridge the gap from their last SFC win in 2001.

Breheny has guided his club through to the last four of the senior football championship as they prepare to face neighbours St John's at the weekend.

Speaking to the Sligo Champion, the former county manager said: "It's our longest spell without the Owen B Hunt. St John's have improved since we beat them in the group stages and it will be fifty-fifty."

Meanwhile, St John's manager Anthony Brennan stated that they were eagerly awaiting the clash. "We're looking forward to it. Morale is good and we are going quite well."
