Sligo manager Pat Flanagan is confident that if his side play to their potential, they will beat Limerick.

The Connacht side host the Shannonsiders at Markievicz Park in the third round of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers on Saturday afternoon.

Following their confidence boosting win over Wicklow at Aughrim, the Yeats County will be favourites to see off the challenge of Limerick this weekend.

Sligo defeated Limerick in this year's NFL at Markievicz Park and Flanagan told the Sligo Champion that he believes that they can repeat that result.

"It was great to win in Wicklow," said Flanagan. "It gives everyone a boost. We're now at home in the qualifiers and in many ways maybe being away against Wicklow suited us.

"It meant we had to be totalling focussed. We must do the same on Saturday and if we play as I know we can I think we can get through."
