Sligo sign up to player welfare initiative

Sligo GAA and Console, the National Suicide Prevention and Bereavement Charity have launched a new initiative to make the GAA community aware of the signs associated with suicide.

There will be two Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training days held for all GAA clubs in Sligo to highlight the signs of depression and suicide.

Sligo GAA chairman Joe Taaffe told the Sligo Champion: "We're delighted to help facilitate this initiative alongside Console and Devenish Nutrition."

The QPR training days will be held on Saturday, April 26th and Saturday, May 10th.
