Sligo manager Pat Flanagan admits that their 'backs are up against the wall' as they head into the penultimate round of the Allianz NFL Division Three campaign.

On Sunday, Sligo take on a Longford side that are on the same points as the Yeats County (4) along with three other counties, while Offaly prop up the table with no points.

However, even the Faithful County still have a chance of avoiding the drop and so it is all to play for over the coming weeks as Flanagan stated to the Sligo Champion.

"Our backs are against the wall," said Flanagan. "We're in a place where we don't want to be and the pressure is on. These are the type of situations where players have to go out and perform.

"Our home form has been very good and we'll be looking to keep that run going. The lads are putting in a huge amount of effort. We've played well in passages of all our matches but we need to find consistency in our performance."
