Ennis targets Leinster run

Ballinagore's Michael Ennis

Former Westmeath footballer Michael Ennis is confident that his charges Durrow can make an impact in the Leinster club IFC.

Ennis led the side to Senior B championship glory last weekend when four goals by outstanding full forward Jack Fogarty helped them to a 4-10 to 1-11 win over Bracknagh.

This was Ennis' first venture into adult management and he admitted to the Midland Tribune that the dual club have managed the dual status very well this year as they have already won the IHC title.

"The hurling brought a great bit of confidence into Sunday," said Ennis. "It could only help them having won last week. Winning keeps things going and builds everything up.

"We will enjoy this and go back training on Friday night. There is one competition down and now the Leinster is a bonus. We will take it as we have taken it all year, one game at a time."
