A rugby sevens competition is taking place in Tullamore today in memory of the late Adam Mangan.

Adam, who was tragically killed in a farm accident last October, was a rising star of Offaly football and also played U18 rugby for Ireland. The Kilclonfert youngster was a county minor in 2013 and '14 and was expected to make the step-up to Pat Flanagan's senior squad this year.

The 19-year-old played his club rugby with Tullamore and the club is remembering him today by staging the first Adam Mangan Men's Open competition at its grounds in Spollenstown.
