The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Monday 11 July 2016 were 05 10 15 30. There was No Jackpot Winner of €6,200 and 6 Match 3 Winners [Padraig Direen C/O Geashill P/O; Catherine Casey C/O C Casey; Pat Gorry C/O High Chap; Shirley Feery C/O Direen's; Shirley Feery C/O High Chap; Jackie Kelly C/O John Kelly] (€35 Each). SENIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP & JUNIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

After the long wait the club Football Championships in Offaly get underway this weekend. Firstly for Raheen the Senior Footballers begin the Senior B Championship against neighbours Walsh Island on Sunday (24 July) @ 6:30pm in Gracefield. Then the Junior Footballers get their Junior B Championship campaign underway against another of our neighbours Gracefield on Tuesday (26 July) @ 7:30pm also in Gracefield. Best of Luck to all the Players and Management of both the Raheen teams. Please come along to both games to give them your support.   

U16 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Na Fianna U16 Footballers will have it all to do to make it through to the championship quarter final as they suffered their second defeat in a row going down to Edenderry in Geashill last Monday week in Rd 3 on a scoreline of 2-09 to 1-07. Both sides opened the scoring with 2 points apiece inside the first 15 mins before Na Fianna got their heads in front on 22 mins when Craig Strong's shot in from the sideline landed in the square where it was picked up by Brian Keogh who blasted it low along the ground past the keeper to the net. Edenderry came back with 3 points in the last 5 mins but a single point for Na Fianna gave them the lead at the break 1-03 to 0-05. Inside the first 5 mins of the second half Na Fianna added 3 points to Edenderry's 1 to increase their lead but over the next 5 mins the game turned completely as Edenderry got through to score 2 goals to give them the 3 point advantage and this is how it remained until the last 5 mins when Edenderry added 3 more points to Na Fianna's 1 to seal the win.

U14 C FOOTBALL COMPETITION

After defeat in the first round Na Fianna have their challenge underway in the C Competition as they got a win against Ballinamere / Durrow in Rd 2 last Tuesday week in Geashill on a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-04. The game played at 13 a side for 25 min halves saw Na Fianna control the possession as they opened up a half time lead of 0-06 to 0-02. B/D scored another 2 points early in the second half to Na Fianna's 1 to cut the deficit to just 3 the comeback was quenched on 10 mins when a fine induvidual run by Na Fianna's Joel Troy from midfield saw him work his way all the way into the square before slotting the ball to the net for the only goal and the win was wrapped with the final 2 points for Na Fianna in the last 15 mins.

MINOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Na Fianna Minor Footballers will get their Championship campaign underway this Wednesday evening (20 July) @ 7:30pm in Mucklagh against Shamrocks. Best of Luck to Players and Management. All Support would be appreciated.

 

U14 A & C FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Both Na Fianna's U14 Football teams continue their Championship campaigns this weekend. Firstly the A side look to maintain their 100% winning start on Thursday (21 July) @ 7:30pm in Geashill against their main rivals Clara who will be looking to avenge their defeat by Na Fianna in the Feile League Final. Then on Saturday evening (23 July) @ 6:30pm the C side will try to follow up their previous round win with another against St Vincents in Kilclonfert. All Support would be appreciated for both games.

 

U16 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Na Fianna U16 Football team play Tullamore this Monday evening (25 July) @ 7:30pm in Geashill in a must win game for Na Fianna to keep their Championship hopes alive. All Support would be appreciated.
