LOTTO

The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Monday 11 April 2016 were 14 15 18 21. There was No Jackpot Winner of €3,600 and 1 Match 3 Winner [Neil Daly C/O Neil Daly] (€200 Each). Next week's draw will take place in Doyle's, Killeigh on Monday 25 April 2016.

SENIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Raheen Senior Footballers resume their League campaign against St Brigids in Geashill this Friday evening (22 April) @ 8pm. All Support would be appreciated.

 

JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Raheen Junior Footballers will be looking for their first win in Rd 3 of the League against neighbours Walsh Island in Geashill this Saturday evening (23 April) @ 4:30pm. All Support would be appreciated.

 

SYMPATHY

Raheen GAA Club would like to extend deepest sympathy to the Murphy family, Cloneygowan & Pearse family Ballykeane following their recent bereavement. RIP.

It is with great sadness and regret we note the passing of Raheen GAA President, former team manager, selector and committee member Malachy Bolton, Alderboro, Geashill. To his wife Marie, daughter Paula and the rest of his family and friends we would like to express our sincere sympathy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Members are asked to renew their membership as soon as possible but all membership must be paid by the end of April 2016 otherwise a €10 surcharge per month thereafter will apply. Subscriptions are Playing Members €30, Students €20 & Non Playing Members €20 & OAP's: €15. Payments can be given to Membership Officers Paddy Bracken or Padraig Direen. New members are very welcome.

U14 FOOTBALL FEILE LEAGUE

Na Fianna U14 Footballers completed the group stage of the Feile League with their 1000% win record intact as they easily saw off neighbours St Broughans in the final round last Friday evening in Bracknagh on a scoreline of 6-14 to 3-02 therby securing their place in the Semi Finals as group winners. The game played on a bitterly cold evening saw Na Fianna play against the breeze in the first half but they still managed to open up a 3-07 to 0-02 lead at the break with the goals coming from Morgan Tynan (2) and Adam Mangan. In the second half Na Fianna brought on all their subs and scored another 3-07 with the goals from Mark Keeley, Morgan Tynan and Jack Kelly as St Broughans scored 3 goals but these were all in the last 10 mins when the game was well over as a contest.

MINOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Na Fianna Minor Footballers completed their League programme with defeat to Tullamore in the final round last Sunday evening in O'Brien Pk, Tullamore on a scoreline of 3-11 to 1-08. Tullamore playing with the breeze in the first half took full advantage as they opened up a lead of 1-06 to 0-01 after 20 mins but Na Fianna recovered in the final 10 mins firstly with a goal when Stephen Pierce's run in picked out Ian Buckley who finished to the net followed by 3 points to Tullamore's 1 and so at the break there was just 3 in it as Tullamore led 1-07 to 1-04. Tullamore edged further ahead with the first 3 points of the second half but just as Na Fianna put over their first point of the second half Tullamore responded with 2 goals together on 12 mins to put the result to bed. Na Fianna did add 3 more points to Tullamore's 1 before the end to reduce the defecit.

U16 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Na Fianna U16 Footballers will try to make it 3 wins out of 3 as they take on Edenderry in Rd3 of the League this Wednesday (20 April) @ 6:45pm in Geashill. All Support would be appreciated.

 

U6 / U8 FOOTBALL TRAINING

Na Fianna U6's & U8's Football Training continues on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in Geashill. All players and intending players are asked to attend training.

 

U10 FOOTBALL TRAINING

Na Fianna U10's Football Training continues on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in Geashill. All players and intending players are asked to attend training.

 

U12 FOOTBALL TRAINING

Na Fianna U12's Football Training continues on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in Ballinagar. All players and intending players are asked to attend training.
