Offaly Senior Football Semi- Final Rhode 0-12 Clara 1-5
Rhode Senior Footballers have reached their 4th final in a row when they defeated Clara on a score line of 0-12 to 1-5 Sunday afternoon last in a well Presented O'Connor Park.
Rhode were in full control throughout the game and led 0.6 to 0.01 at the interval. Rhode Pushed on in the second half with a 4point Victory over Clara and will now face old rivals Edenderry in the final for the second year in a row .
Late into the second half Marked the return of Pauric Sullivan onto the field of play . Pauric has been dealing with a cruciate Injury and all at the club congratulate Pauric on his return.
Meet and Greet:
There will be a meet and greet with the Rhode Senior Footballers and Management for all Underage Players from Rhode Warrior's to U,16s on Friday 2nd October Coming at 7.15pm Rhode GAA Field. All Boys and Girls are invited to attend to meet support the Rhode team and management as they get ready for the County Final !!
Rhode U,8s
Rhode U,8s Travelled to Clonbulloge on Friday night last to play St.Broughans in a challenge game. By all accounts it was an excellent performance by both teams. A big thank you to The hosts for an excellent evening and also a special thanks to Rhode U,8 Management team for looking after the young lads so well.
There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 21st of September for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 1 10 17 24. The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O'Toole's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €35 each

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website. The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on. In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!
Extra Prize For Lotto:
An extra Lotto draw will take place in Killeen's on Monday 5th October . There will be a draw for €500 on all books sold alongside the normal lotto draw . An extra prize of €500 for the lucky winner.
Paul Hickey
Our Excellent P.R.O Paul Hickey is off to Athlone College for the next year or so and will be taking some time off in his role as Assistant P.R.O . The Club would like to thank Paul for his great work and support down through the years, he has been a tremendous member of the club and we hope Paul will be back in the fold when ever he is finished his time in College. Thanks also expressed to Pauls PA Noeleen O'Rourke who has been there to help out. The Club is extremely thankful to them both for their great help in ensuring both the notes and website were updated every week so all would be informed on the important goings on of the club.
