U12 Hurlers
Well done to the Tullamore U12 hurling team who won the Tommy McKeogh Tournament last Saturday. Tullamore were up against it playing the hosts, a strong Raharney side in the semi-final. In a very tight match the lads really dug deep to win on a score line of 4-3 to 3-3. Although the team had some fantastic individual performances this was a match that was won by sheer hard work and determination sprinkled with some true blue spirit.
In the final Tullamore faced Castletown, Westmeath who came through their semi-final against Clonkill after extra time. In contrast to the first game Tullamore played a lot more fluid hurling and were deserving winners on a score line of 2-9 to 1-6. Well done to coaches Seán McCann and Mark Kelly but a special word of thanks to all our parents for your continued support and encouragement with the boys.
Next up is St. Ryanghs on Wednesday 23th in O'Brien Park at 6pm for our last County fixture. All roads then lead to O'Brien Park on Friday October 2nd at 7pm v Kilcormac/Killoughey in the Jack Wyer Memorial Tournament.
Tullamore U12 Hurling panel: Adam Kelly (1-3), Diarmuid Egan, John Ward(0-2), Cullen Boland, Corey Hayes, Cian Wynne, Seán Monaghan, Cormac Egan(c)(0-1), Finán Redmond, Luke Bourke, Cillian Martin, Ben Lowbridge, Ben McConville, Ben Heffernan, John Furlong(3-3), William Grace, Thomas Grace, Adam Batti, Kevin Leavy, Evan Fitzpatrick(2-3).
