Rhode Intermediates footballers gained their 5th point in this year's championship when on Thursday evening at a well presented Ballinagar pitch Rhode played out a 1-9 to 0-12 draw with Cappincur. Rhode led by 1-6 to 0-6 at the interval and with a well contested second half the sides were level at the final whistle Rhode getting the equalizer from Shane Sullivan. Rhode now meet neighbours Daingean in 2 weeks in the fifth round. A speedy recovery is extended to Paschal Kellaghan who received an injury in the previous game against Tullamore.
Rhode Senior footballers gained their eighth brace of points in the year's senior championship when they had a 3-14 to 0-03 win over St. Rynagh's in a prefect O'Connor Park on Sunday morning. Rhode led 2-6 to 0-3 at the interval. It also marked the return to action of Niall McNamee as a substitute after his injury.

Minor Championship Rhode v Ballinamere/Durrow in Durrow on Wednesday at 7.15pm
Rhode Under 16 footballers had a 5-7 to 2-4 win over Kilcormac-Killoughey on Monday evening last and gained their 4th point in this year's championship. Rhode must win their remaining games against St. Rynagh's and Ballycumber-Tubber to qualify.
Rhode Under 14 footballers play St. Vincent's in Gracefield on this Wednesday evening at 7pm in the Under 14 Championship Play-Off. Edenderry and Shamrocks have qualified for the quarter final of this group and the winners of the Rhode game will determine who will fill the last quarter final spot.
The Annual Rhode GAA Golf Classic will take place at Edenderry Golf Club on Saturday 5th of September. The format is a four ball scramble. Prizes for GUI and non GUI teams. Refreshments served at the 10th tee. Teams of four €120. Tee sponsorship €100 and other sponsorship opportunities available. There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 27th of July for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 3 16 20 22.
