Junior B Hurling Championship
Our Junior B's lost to Belmont on Sunday on a score of 3-17 to 2-5. Belmont were a young and far superior side and were full credit for their victory. Our B's are out again on Friday the 24th vs Seir Kieran at 7:30pm in Killurin
Junior A Hurling Championship
The Junior A hurlers had a great win in a very entertaining game vs Kinnitty in Killurin on Friday night last. The win put them into a three way playoff with Kinnitty and Tullamore. The first playoff game is down for decision this weekend as we play Kinnitty in Kilcormac at 5:30pm on Saturday evening coming.
Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Intermediate hurlers had a good 1-11 to 0-6 win over Carrig & Riverstown in very difficult conditions on Saturday evening. Carrig & Riverstown led the way tagging on three early points aided by the win but the Gaels soon fought back adding two points. A David Buckley goal before half time got us back level going into the break. After the break the lads kicked on and impressive points from Dwayne Dunne, Mark Egan, David Buckley and Colm Gleeson put us in control. Credit must go to Cathal Curran and Peter Walsh who came out with a massive amount of ball in the second half. The back kept Carrig & Riverstown scoreless in the second half. We will play our last group game vs Crinkle which is expected to be in two weeks.
Auction
Clodiagh Gaels are holding a Monster Auction on the August Bank Holiday Monday in the Macra Hall Killeigh. Viewing of items start at 9am while the auction itself starts at 11am. Clear the date in your diaries and start rooting out items that can be donated. It promises to be a great day with some great bargains on offer!

Official Clodiagh Gaels GAA Club polo shirts are now available to purchase. These are limited edition when they are gone they are gone first come first served cost €40. Please contact Mark Shiel or any committee member to place an order or order through the club Facebook page by private message. These have proven popular and we are down to the last few shirts, available sizes are medium (large fit), small and 13-14 so get yours now, great way to show your support at matches.
